Throughout November, Three Plus will be observing the changing seasons and experiencing Bonfire night. The activities that Stepping Stones have on offer will provide opportunities for children to enhance their development and follow their own interests in the following areas.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development:
- Continuing to add to our “favourite things” wall display.
- News time to discuss what we have been doing at home with our families.
- Making puppets and talking about how we feel.
Communication, Language and Literacy:
- Read books that reflect our interests.
- Making our own books.
- Listening and developing vocabulary during our news times.
Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy:
- Completing 12 and 15 piece jigsaws.
- Counting to 5 with fruit every morning.
- Using recipes for baking.
Physical Development:
- Movement to music
- Exploding and moving like fireworks.
- Balancing on the stepping stones and wooden beam.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World:
- Melting and setting chocolate for baking activities.
- Collecting interesting items from the garden.
- Noticing the weather and changing seasons.
Creative Development:
- Role play cafe.
- Creating firework and bonfire pictures.
- Making puppets for role play.
- Dancing to music.
In the Nursery Garden:
- Talking about the ever changing weather.
- Balancing and ball skills.
- Nature walks.
